When I found out that the queen of modern calligraphy Maybelle was going to be in Boston to teach a workshop, in Angela Liguoiri’s studio no less, I couldn’t pass up the opportunity! I went with my friend Flora and we spent an afternoon surrounded by pretty Italian ribbons, nibbling on finger sandwiches, and lettering.
P.S. I had a falling out with calligraphy last year, but this year I’m determined that we patch things up. I’m looking forward to sharing more lettering work in the coming months!
