In October I photographed alongside Lisa Rigby at Katie & Doug’s stately wedding. We shot getting ready and first look photos at the Langham Hotel in Boston, had the ceremony at St. Mary’s Church in Charlestown, took the trolley over with the couple and bridal party to the Boston Public Garden for portraits, and ended at the State Room downtown. Since I played a supporting role in this event, here are some photos from the back. And a few from the side. And maybe one or two from the front. But mostly from the back. :)
Katie is getting ready to walk down the aisle with her mom. It occurred to me as we were in this church that this is the very first wedding I’ve photographed in a place of worship. Since I didn’t book this wedding, I’m still technically church-free! Quite an interesting trend, I think.
^ Band leader told everyone dancing to look up. This caught me off guard!
We end with…Dueling Photos from Across the Way!
This was right after mom gave her daughter away. Not sure if these can be called behind-the-scenes when we’re doing it right in the middle of the aisle.
Me, flanked by more backup. By the way, I’m not the one kneeling.
Working with Lisa and her lovely clients is always a good time.
You did a fantastic job as usual Li! Can’t wait to work together again next Saturday. :)
these are amazing! i love the one of katie and the back of her dress in the reception. I’m assuming you’re shooting again with Lisa at the BPL next Saturday? =) see you there!!
wowzers…what an amazing venue and equally amazing photographs! i love the long one in the church with the guests walking through…and i LOVE LOVE LOVE the one of the bride getting into the car with the umbrella. you are so talented!
Li, I’ve been to busy to even lurk lately and I just have to say that your always beautiful photos are becoming even more spectaclular. You are truely talanted. Great job!
this is beautiful work Li – I especially like the b/w of the bride as she is facing the window sitting down… excellent exposure and tones there – well done!
Wow. Just wow. I just adore the one of the bride and her mother, right before they walk down the aisle – that extra flash in the crowd makes it spectacular!
I am continually browsing online for ideas that can benefit me. Thank you!
