This is Destiny, the tennis ball-obsessed chocolate Labrador. I met her and her owner at their home on the outskirts of Boston on a very humid late afternoon. We’ve been getting a lot of those lately. Nevertheless we kept the session outdoors, first in their pretty, wooded backyard and then in a nearby field where Destiny could chase the tennis ball at will. Her tongue grew longer and longer and longer as the session went on!
If the ball is not in camera, you can be sure that it is very, very nearby.
* With special guest appearance by A Stick *
my fav is “with A Stick”… wonderful work as always – happy summer!
Once again Li, a great session. Love the lighting in the first pic. Gorgeous. And the stick shot is priceless.
Li! You are such a rock star – I love you work! These are absolutely priceless. Love the guest appeared by A Stick… awesome!
Li! This pup is so freakin cute! You’re right, the tongue gets longer and longer, so cute. I started laughing at loud as I scrolled and seeing it stick out. Awesome job, lady!
Beautiful shots!! My faves are the first three! And the one where her tongue is off to the side and at its looongest! You did a great job with this session.
I am continually stunned by the beauty of your photography. I think you should post a blog of tips for us lamos :) Whenever you hit up the west coast I really want you to come & take photos of my boys for me. :) Love your work.
Fantastic shoot. You weren’t lying about the tongue!!! I love labs.
Charlotte particularly likes the one with a stick: “It looks like a crocodile!”
Totally gorgeous! I love the settings you found, and the authenticity in capturing the dog’s personality :-)
GREAT set! Particularly love the first and last ones :)
Absolutely beautiful, Li. I feel like the green and blue earth tones are beautifully complimented by Destiny’s chocolate coloring–and the low sun creates such a warm atmosphere. Gorgeous as always :)
That’s Ms. Destiny Unbound, to a ‘T’ *:D Like all labs she loves her ball(s) and good luck getting the stick back. I love the picture where the camera is right behind the ball, on the brick. She’s looks herself when she was a puppy – She hasn’t changed one bit.
You know we have a yellow lab, Illy, like the Italian coffee! She is going on 9 this year. We love her so much. Destiny is gorgeous. What a beautiful animal. Aren’t labs just the best pets?
Beautiful, beautiful shots of Destiny!
What a lovely choc. lab. she is.
I think the stick is my fave!
The last two photos are awesome! You should really start a line of greeting cards with some of your great pet photos.
I love the sun flare on the first two shots! This looks like it was an awesome session.
Destiny is a patient at the Animal Hospital I work at as a technician. She is as sweet and beautiful in person. She is the reason I got a Chocolate Lab….. Love you Destiny!
Great photos that really captured her personality!
