Finally, photos of Dax and Luna, a sweet pair of German Shepherd Lab mix at 14 years old (they are Lita’s aunt and uncle. Oh and I’m photographing Lita’s parents’ wedding next year!). Dax is the gentlemanly black dog who was the more social and playful of the two, while Luna kept a low-profile and approached (or not approached) me and my camera with a wary eye. Both are hard of hearing :-( which I kept forgetting. My attempts at getting their attention by making high-pitched meowing noises went unnoticed/unappreciated, heh.
Dax still has some puppy in him.
The WTF look on Luna’s face cracks me up. We were trying to get a 3-dog family portrait and as you can see one member wasn’t cooperating.
Chihuahuas. What can you do?
And that’s a wrap!
awww, i have such a big soft spot for the older doggies…especially when they have that cute white whiskers look around their muzzle…
These pictures are so great– Luna’s floppy ears are really just too much! The pictures of Luna smelling the flower and then the other of Dax behind the flower– those are my faves. Excellent shots!
What sweet faces and floppy ears. I love them. Lovely photographs!
aw, i love the seniors. every one of these is a great tribute!
Normally it’s the photos that do me in here (duh it’s a photography blog), but this time it was words: “Chihuahuas. What can you do?”.
Hye Ms. Li Ward.. I always love your artwork.. my question is do you mind sharing on how you treat your pictures. I envy the colors, is it your Nikon body does the job, or the manual setting (f stops) or the Post Processing?
biszign – it is a combo of all those things, and more (lens, natural lighting conditions). How you post process though puts the finishing touch to it all.
okay thanx.. I envy your D700 =) keep up the beautiful work =)
