Mai Khanh and Kevin were married at The Exchange Conference Center in Boston, and theirs was a wedding that featured the happiest groom ever on the planet. Not even their engagement shoot could have prepared me for such sheer glee.
We started with portrait session of the bride and groom along with their wedding party in the back of the building, facing the harbor, then had the ceremony inside, followed by a bonus portrait session with just the newlyweds in front of the building. Do you know what? I really like taking portraits! Never did I think this day would come. I’m all, Candid This and Documentary That! Now I’m all, Sit Here and Stand There! Turn This Way/No The Other Way/Look at the Camera/Don’t Look at the Camera/Smile!!! It’s hard – mostly because I still have trouble differentiating between right and left – and then it’s not, especially when you’ve got a sweet, lovely bride and a groom who refuses to stop smiling.
The yummy food was catered by Legal Sea Foods, and the beautiful florals were arranged by Dana Tran of Bumble Bee Landing. Here now is the story of Mai and Kevin’s wedding day…
These are amazing as always! I just love how you have been evolving as a photographer and would love to hire you someday for something (now I just have to find the something :) Are these their book pages? They are just fantastic!
That’s extrememly beautiful. I’m so glad that you were there, Li. These pictures really capture the joy and happiness of that day. Just can’t help but put a smile on my face. Great job, and I hope you enjoyed that Banana Foster!
Another stunning set, Kim’s right, you really captured the joy. Makes me wish that I’d been at the party. Good looking couple, too!
Wow, the pictures really tell a story. Great job Li. When I look at the pictures I feel like I’m experiencing the day with Mai Khanh and Kevin all over again.
Very artistic, LOVE the pics.
