Here is Karin and Sri’s wedding at the lovely MIT Chapel, followed by their Boston harbor reception aboard the Odyssey. I love this wedding. I love this space. It’s amazing what a single skylight and a metal installation can do to a little round windowless room. Sparkle! Confetti! Genius! Sri had a custom suit made for the special day, while Karin wore her mother’s 1950’s wedding dress and veil. The wedding was so much fun that they had a second full-blown wedding the very next day! More of that to come later. For now…
Now for the reception dinner on the Odyssey! I love boats. I hovered about the gentleman below for some time, waiting for the flag to unfurl just so. He saw me and probably thought I love him. Well guess what, I do love him, because he saw me, and didn’t react…just continued socializing and drinking his beer as before. Most people naturally freeze up with they see a camera pointed at them and smile…but that’s when the jig is up and I stop shooting! I’m trying to be invisible.
{ ^ This sketch in their guestbook cracks me up it’s so bad }
More celebratin’ to come!
Your work has *really* got good lately Li! this is seriously top-notch stuff.
That last photo – wow.
I agree with Simon—you’ve really upped your game (which was already at a high-level). Great work!
OMG. That first photo. *faint* Just gorgeous, and her mother’s dress is sublime!
Amazing work! :) And I love the sketch – definately not a fashion illustrator there. :)
goosebumps… love this chapel – such a different place…
